How to book our safeguarding training

There is a new way to book a place on our safeguarding training – the Brighton & Hove Learning Gateway

You need to use the new Gateway for bookings from 1 June 2016 onwards.

As well as registering for your LSCB Training, you can use the Gateway to find information and book places on a wide variety of courses provided by Brighton & Hove City Council, as well as conferences and elearning.

The gateway has the following features:

  • Ease of access – PC, tablets and smartphones, 24/7 for courses and elearning, at home or work.
  • Many processes are now self service with instant confirmations.
  • Access to training history and the ability to add other qualifications and events.
  • Automatic reminder emails can be set to remind you to book refresher training.
  • Alerts can be set up for new courses.
  • Handouts and other resources are stored on the system, for access at any time, even after the event.

Council staff will be able to use a single sign on  through Internet Explorer which means they have no extra passwords to remember, Staff from other partner agencies, and the community & voluntary sector can quickly create an account here
Schools and community groups will need to be registered as an organisation (or “establishment as it is known on the Gateway”) and first be approved. Find out how more about how to register your establishment here. To register your establishment the manager or training lead should be the first person to sign up to be the service as this will give you access to manager tools. Approval will usually be on the same day, and once approved, you will be able to book places on our courses and individual staff accounts can be set up.
