Practical Skills to Support Families Through the Early Help Process – 5 April 2019

This new half day workshop will introduce you to the practical element of the early help process. You will be taken through the process of referrals to the Front Door for Families, Early Help assessments, Team Around the Family meetings and planning for positive change. There will be the opportunity to participate in small group activities, whole group discussions and practical activities to develop your confidence in working with families who need some extra help.

Coaching Families Successfully

The aim of the session is to develop and extend the confidence of family support workers using a coaching approach with families. The training will equip staff with the necessary skills and tools for coaching families. We are running the course on 1 February and 11 March.


Administrators Development Programme

This course is for office managers and administrators from across BHCC who wish to further their personal and professional development. By the end of the course you will have:

  • identified your strengths as an administrator and any areas for development
  • explored new ways of communicating with and supporting your managers and colleagues
  • understood the concept and benefits of behaving assertively
  • begun to develop effective techniques for managing time and stress
  • identified the principles of impression management and influencing skills
