Welcome to Brighton & Hove's LSCB website!

Welcome to the Brighton and Hove Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB) website. The LSCB is a statutory board, and requires all organisations that work with children to cooperate to keep children safe from harm.

The core legislation underpinning the work of the LSCB the Children Act 2004, which provide a comprehensive framework for the care and protection of children. The detailed statutory guidance is contained in Working Together to Safeguard Children 2010.

Brighton and Hove LSCB, which has representatives from all the key organisations who work with children, agrees how local services and professionals should work together to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.

This website has been designed to provide accessible and useful information to aid children, young people, their families and professionals regarding safeguarding matters within Brighton and Hove. It is newly created and will be continually improved.
